The Design
We approached the project with the unique challenge of designing for two distinct floor plans, with five schools sharing one layout and three following another. Building on lessons learned from the prior Alvin security vestibule renovations, we developed a standardized finish palette to streamline decision-making while still allowing flexibility to respond to each campus’s existing materials and character. This balanced approach created consistency across the district without sacrificing individuality. The result is a coordinated, durable, and security-focused design that strengthens functionality while establishing a unified interior standard for Alvin ISD elementary schools.
