Project Luong partnered with Christ Church Katy to select finishes and produce interior renderings for the renovation of an existing worship space and vestibule. All material selections were carefully considered to complement existing religious fixtures and furnishings, including beautifully crafted plan-matched wood veneers that serve as a defining feature of the sanctuary. The design embraced the warmth and identity of the existing architecture while introducing updated finishes that enhanced functionality and longevity.
Renovating an active worship space presented unique challenges, requiring our selections to be conscious of existing conditions, durability, budget, and visual appearance. After completing initial design, the project also underwent value engineering efforts to reduce costs and refine the scope. By doing so, the final design aligned with the church’s functional needs while maintaining the integrity and character of the church.
