Revera Community Center

Early design exploration focused on developing a massing strategy that would emphasize the outdoor gathering areas. The distinctive roofline became the primary architectural gesture, shaping the building’s identity while highlighting the covered exterior spaces. These studies also considered how the building would appear from multiple approach points, ensuring the overall silhouette would feel intentional and recognizable as visitors arrive from the main drive and surrounding park areas.

The design was guided by the goal of creating a building that feels open and welcoming from every direction rather than presenting a single defined front or back. Because the site is approached from the parking lot while also serving the pool and adjacent park spaces, the architecture was developed to present a strong and finished façade from multiple arrival points.

This approach led to the expansive, flowing roofline that visually ties the building’s program areas together while creating shaded outdoor gathering zones. Angled timber supports, charcoal masonry, and large glass openings were selected to balance warmth and durability while reinforcing the building’s contemporary character.

The result is a highly visible community landmark that supports both indoor programming and outdoor recreation while anchoring the shared spaces of the neighborhood.
