Over the following weeks, the design team translated feedback from early meetings into tangible progress across the hotel, waterpark, garages, and supporting site buildings. The focus shifted from conceptual sketches to detailed layouts that defined the relationships between primary program elements.
The hotel was strategically organized to elevate the guest experience from arrival. Guests enter at ground level and transition upward to a second-floor lobby positioned to capture panoramic lagoon views, establishing an immediate resort atmosphere. The ground level activates the waterfront with a beach club and restaurant that connect directly to the surrounding experience zones.
The second level functions as a social and event hub, featuring an indoor-outdoor bar for coffee and evening drinks, a large exterior patio supporting beach club programming, and an approximately 8,000 square foot ballroom overlooking the lagoon. The ballroom is divisible into four event spaces, allowing flexibility for conferences, weddings, and branded activations. This level also provides direct internal access to the indoor waterpark, as well as integrated fitness, meeting, and spa facilities, reinforcing the resort’s appeal to both leisure and business travelers.
Guest accommodations were carefully programmed across the upper floors. Levels three through eight house 44 rooms per floor with a diverse mix of bunk rooms, double queen rooms with sleeper sofas, and king configurations. Select endcap rooms were designed to combine into larger suites when needed. The ninth level includes 42 guest rooms highlighted by two approximately 850-square-foot Presidential Suites designed for VIP guests and special event participants. Many rooms are oriented to capture sweeping lagoon views, and king rooms include optional pull-out sofas to increase flexibility for families and group travelers.
Parallel to the hotel design, the indoor waterpark was developed as a major anchor component encompassing approximately 65,000 square feet of year-round attractions with direct visual connection to the waterfront. The entrance is located at ground level to streamline guest circulation and reduce vertical transition costs. Adjacent to the waterpark, a 17,000 square foot family entertainment center expands the resort’s programming beyond aquatic attractions. Private meeting rooms overlooking the waterpark create unique event opportunities, blending recreation with group experiences.
Throughout development, smaller site nodes such as the boathouse, island bar, cabanas, and restroom facilities were refined to ensure they supported the larger destination framework. Each element contributes to a cohesive environment where entertainment, hospitality, and waterfront activation operate seamlessly together.
