After years of close collaboration between the owner, design team, and contractor, the Trillium Community Center has officially opened its doors. Every detail of the building — from carefully selected materials to sweeping, unobstructed views — reflects the design team’s original vision, now fully brought to life.
The interior design needed to embody the spirit of the community while offering the comfort and familiarity of home. There’s a delicate and intentional balance between the lightness of the selected finishes and the warmth of the materials. Light finishes create a bright, modern atmosphere, while furnishings grounded in warm tones not only invite comfort but are also durable enough for daily use.
A huge part of the design process lies in marrying all elements together — working within the architectural framework, building a cohesive finish palette, and layering in the tactile, interactive pieces that make a space truly come alive. On this project, we had the rare opportunity to also develop the Operating Supplies and Equipment package, allowing us to furnish the center not just with functional items like coffee makers, utensils, and paper towels, but also with thoughtful decorative touches. From curated vases above the cabinets to coffee table books and artwork, these final details serve as the bow on a fully realized, welcoming space — one that the community can truly call its own.
