What is A.M.D.G.?
And why is it written on the top right hand corner of our documents? A.M.D.G. is Latin for “Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam” — translated into English as “For the Greater Glory of God.” As professionals, this isn’t a political or cultural statement. It’s much simpler. It is a reminder of why we do what we do, and what is really important in our lives and our work.

Tropicos Beach Club
Tropicos Beach Club is the centerpiece of the next phase of development at Lago Mar, home to the largest Crystal Clear Lagoon in Texas, located in the Galveston-Clear Lake corridor within a 2,033-acremaster-planned community in Texas City. The club expands on the resort-style amenities of Lagoonfest Texas, which attracts over 200,000 visitors annually to its 12-acre oasis with 24 million gallons of crystal blue water.
The southwest beach of the lagoon will feature luxurious one- and two-story private cabanas, lush vegetation, and a variety of amenities including concessions, restaurants, cabana seating, a wedding pavilion, and the Tropicos Beach Club itself. Additional amenities include grab-and-go food options, Ibiza Island Bar (with a second-story lookout and swim-up bar), Cabana Beach Bar, and an employee administration building.
Features
Arrival Experience: Guests enter through the second floor, offering elevated views of the lagoon and activities. The patio and Cinderella stairs create a dramatic entrance and “Instagram moment”.
First Floor: Grab-and-go café and sundry store for easy access by beachgoers.
Second Floor: Elegant tropical restaurant with indoor/outdoor bar, large party room, patio seating, retail area, and space for bands and entertainers.
Third Floor: Exclusive Beach Club terrace with high-end club lounge atmosphere, soft seating, pool beds, shallow tanning shelf, live DJ sets, and house-crafted cocktails. The flexible roof system allows for public/private events in all weather.

Design Principles & Aesthetics
Inspired by Miami Art Deco and local Texas aesthetics, the club features concrete stucco, wood accents, and open arms welcoming guests. Interior design incorporates warm, raw materials,trellis structures, neutral colors, and Italian coastal influences. Restaurants are trellis-covered in greenery with large windows overlooking the lagoon. The restaurant boasts earthy hues, two-tone ceramic flooring, brick walls, stackedwood accents, and a transparent ceiling covered by a trellis wrapped in greenery.
The design emphasizes “Instagram moments” and unique, energetic spaces—from grand staircases to plush poolside cabanas—encouraging guests to share their experiences. Exterior finishes include painted stucco, wood panels, and glass, acting as a neutral backdrop for standout feature walls. Key elements: welcoming canopies, Cinderella staircases, panoramic lagoonviews, curated spaces for retail and arcade games.
Realization & Site Plan
The site plan includes clubhouses, celebration lawns, aquabars, venues, beach concessions, cabana club bars, rental bungalows/cabanas, and support buildings. Multiple elevations and sections detail the spatial organization, including outdoor dining, restaurants, pools, bars, patios, breezeways, multi purpose spaces, arcade/retail areas, and party room balconies.
