Westland Ranch Pool Pavilion is approximately a 2,000 square foot Pool Pavilion, located in League City, Texas. The developer wanted to create a space for its residents to relax while at the pool and escape the harsh Texas summer sun all in one convenient building.
Project Luong collaborated closely with the Landscape Architect to seamlessly combine various site elements. A barn like building, a tractor, a silo, and various site elements help accentuate the ranch feel. The main entrance to the building is directly in the center of the drop-off turnaround. The pool entrance gives you direct access in and out. The building has a low patio around to give residents access shade during the Texas summer heat. With a barn like building that stands over 20 plus feet allows residents to use it to delineate the site. The building, tractor, and silo brings the site together for a ranch feel.
The building consists of six restrooms, a storage room, and a pool pump room. It is situated at the corner of Seville Hills Lane and Muldoon Parkway. The initial design called for a small, single story pool restroom building. We ultimately reached the final design of extruding the building, making it much taller than the previous design. This would allow residents to see it from all directions and are able to distinguish this area from a distance. This solution Project Luong and the Landscape Architect presented allowed the project to be within budget and remain on the tight schedule. Project Luong and the Landscape Architect worked with the Client to develop a cost-effective solution for providing a conditioned restroom building to escape the Texas sun, while staying within the budget.
